Project aimed at revitalising, empowering and engaging civil society in the strategy and development processes of the KINTOAN BARNA cross-border territory – the valleys of Esteribar (Navarre), Baigorri and Los Aldudes (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).

Objectives

  • Renforcer le sentiment d’appartenance au territoire transfrontalier en favorisant les rencontres entre les habitants des deux versants.
  • Consolider un réseau transfrontalier d’associations et d’autres acteurs locaux importants et le former à la coopération transfrontalière.
  • Coopération transfrontalière dans ce secteur comme démonstration pratique autour du patrimoine industriel (champs miniers de Kintoa) et immatériel (pelote basque, foires de produits).
  • Participation et implication insuffisantes de la société civile dans les projets de coopération transfrontalière menés : YELMO (2007-2013) et KINTOAN BARNA (2014-2020), où le rôle principal a été principalement joué par les collectivités locales.

Project actions

  • Disposer d’un inventaire de toutes les associations du territoire transfrontalier.
  • Améliorer la formation en matière de coopération transfrontalière des acteurs du territoire en facilitant la promotion et la participation à des projets de développement social et économique.
  • Améliorer la connaissance mutuelle entre les agents transfrontaliers, grâce à l’organisation d’une rencontre entre associations, base de la future « Journée transfrontalière de KINTOAN BARNA ».
  • Améliorer la connaissance du patrimoine industriel et minier de l’espace de la muga (Kintoan)
  • Mise en œuvre de programmes transfrontaliers de pelote basque et de foires de produits et d’artisanat.

Results

  • Disposer d’un programme annuel conjoint d’activités sur le territoire KINTOAN BARNA et assurer sa diffusion coordonnée au-delà du projet AsociaKIN, élaboré en collaboration avec les collectivités locales et d’autres acteurs du territoire transfrontalier

This call for microprojects has been funded with the surplus of the Spain–France–Andorra Territorial Cooperation Operational Programme (POCTEFA) 2007–2013, which was transferred to the Member States (Spain and France) as national contributions, thus losing its status as ERDF funds.
This call was managed jointly by all the institutional partners listed below.
With a budget of €575,000, it financed 100% of the eligible expenses of the territorial cooperation micro-projects presented on this website.
